Strategy and Success

1) What do you like best about class so far? What's going well?
The best part of class so far would have to be recognizing why we like the movies we do.

2) What has been your greatest disappointment so far?
It is to early in the year to really point out a great disappointment.

3) Describe how you've studied for tests or prepared for quizzes. Give me time lengths, environment, strategy, etc.
To study for tests and quizzes, I will usually get relaxed somehwere and no matter where I go there has to be music in the backround. As for length wise, i study until i feel comfortable enough with myself knowing the material.

4) Do you know if you're a visual, aural (hearing) or kinesthetic (movement) learner?
If anything, I am a visual learner, this is because I need to see how things work and do it hands on.

Heroes

When I hear the word hero, two names instantly come to mind: John McClane from the Die Hard series, and Johnny Rico from the movies Starship Troopers and Starship Troopers 3: Marauder. The one I chose to write about is Johnny Rico. In the movie Starship Troopers, Rico is part of the mobile infantry where they are at war with another species where he works his way from privte all the way up to lieutenant and finally colonel in the third movie. Throughout both the movies, Rico shows his dedication and willing to surpass all others in any way he can, to be considered the "best". He may not be a super one man army, but to be good enough to have countless men follow you to sometimes almost certain death, well that adds the super to his hero title. Even in the end of the first movie and all throughout the third, his fellow citizens recognize him as "The Hero of Planet P"(Got to see the movie to understand all of that) and when rico tried to be modest about his accomplishment the Sky Marshall, equivilent to our Commander in Chief, recited a quote that was very fitting to the word hero, "Heroes inspire Courage and Sacrifice, asking us to be better in what we are." This quote is a direct definition on why we need heroes.
